Missing Half

I've wandered through this lonely life,
Not really understanding why,
I felt as though a part of me,
Had wandered off to die.

The world around me carried on
As if without a care,
But deep inside I knew there was
A part of me not there.

I tried to live as others did,
But always it was wrong,
But then you came into my life,
And I knew where I belonged.

The answer came the moment that
You looked into my eyes,
For deep within the heart of you,
The missing half of my soul lies.
